Gary is a graduate from NJIT with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and has been working in the food and beverage packaging industry for 20+ years. In 2015 the company that he worked for closed for business and he started his own company that designs food and beverage packaging lines.
Gary's interest in volleyball started early on while watching his sister (another Scotty student) play in high school and college. He started playing club volleyball his first year of college where all of that watching paid off. While playing club he was asked to tryout for the NJIT team but much to his regret he declined due to the school and work load that he had at the time. After graduating, he continued to play club volleyball at various levels and currently plays in adult leagues when he can.
Gary became involved in DIGS when his two daughters, Britni and Caelin became interested in volleyball; there was only one club they could learn from and and play for and that was DIGS. Britni is a graduate of the DIGS program and currently attends Kean University where she is on the volleyball team. Caelin is also a graduate of the DIGS program and currently attends The University of the Sciences where she sets for the volleyball team. Gary has been an assistant coach for DIGS for six years and is now going into his 3rd year as a head coach - where his volleyball education continues to expand and grow. He is a big fan of visualization, watch and then do. This is Gary's fourth year as DIGS President.
